| Cheers Chris. Need to buy a Flip camera now as I was using a colleagues for testing.
And you've reminded me that I need to alter the shift light too because according to the dyno the bet place to shift is 7,700rpm. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| Waiting for some stuff to uninstall so I'll pas on my boredom with a mundane non-update. Going back to Mallory in 2 weekends time. But going to Pug1Off next weekend to get an oil temp sensor adapter put in to the sump. Although I don't think the oil temp will be an issue, I'd rather be safe than sorry. I was going to get the sump baffled at the same time. Either with a Constella baffle kit or a Peugeot Sport kit. The Peugeot Sport one is better as it includes a windage tray but it's quite expensive. At the moment a baffled sump probably isn't required. It's unlikely I'll get oil starvation. Fingers crossed anyway... _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| Any info on the Mallory day? Sump baffle sounds ideal for a track car. Engine safety first and all |

| 8th October via Circuit Days. When I looked earlier there were 5 places left. Nice mix of machinery. Baffled sump and windage tray will have to wait. Don't have enough time to organise it. One Pug Sport sump kit on the Xmas list _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| Thanks Dean. When do you think the Rallye will be on track again? Early 2012 or is progress quite good at the moment?
I spoke to Matt at Pug1Off about oil starvation and he said they've only ever had a few issues with the 2ltr engines. But I will get it baffled in the future. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| I'm assuming you're using the services of Mr Sandy Brown? According to the dyno paperwork I have, mine made 167 ATWs @ 7605rpm. Your 200 ATWs will be very nice. Are you expecting it to be a bitch to drive under 3-4k? Since my engine work I've noticed that at high RPM it can sometimes be difficult to find 3rd. Not sure if it's just something that I'm doing wrong, the SatchShift somehow or if it's something more expensive like synchros in my box. You've got a Gripper diff now haven't you? I was tempted by one but was swayed by the Quaife as it's an "install and forget" diff. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

Yea, Mines 167 atw atm.
That'll be your box, i've gone to BE ditched the 106 MA crap as its such a week box. nah the car will be mapped so it drives as a normal car, thats the beauty of sandy's maps.
The gripper diff is hardcore compared to the quaife, the quaife is more a fast road and track day diff. I liked my quaife but have been pushed towards the gripper so only time will tell.
Is yours a bitch to drive at low revs?

| Ha, I heard that a Gripper will rip your arms off I'll mention the gear problem to Matt at Pug1Off on Saturday. Not had the box that long but maybe the synchros are shagged. That's a bit of a pain in the arse. Mine is a pretty good all rounder. They mapped it knowing that it was also my daily driver. So it's not totally lifeless at low revs. But it's obviously not quite as responsive as my old cammed engine so I have to remember not to pull out late on roundabouts, unless I've got the revs up. Cheers. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| It's a Geronimo bolt in cage. - It's already in red! - It'll fit in a 106 with a sunroof. - It doesn't penetrate the dash. - It's local. - The guy said he'll fit it for me whilst I wait. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| It's not quite finished (need to bolt rear feet in). Bad pictures as it was about 9pm last night using my iPhone: The other problem is that the seats don't fit with the door bars. So I've got one door bar off at the moment with the seat in and no passenger seat. It's probably an excuse to buy new lightweight seats with big head restraints _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| Finished it off today. Undersealed where I'd drilled through the chassis and plenty of copper grease on the bolts. Also replaced the fuel line with a new one to remove the temporary bodge that was in place. Put the carpet back properly. Even made the mats fit around the cage. Cage + carpet + mats ftw! So I'll whore out some more crappy photos thanks to the iPhone and lack of daylight: May even clean it next weekend! _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| I gave in. It's been cleaned. And slapped on some polish too. The wheels are utterly f*cked. They need to be shot blasted and powder coated again. Can't shift the crap stuck to them and I think the colour is starting to fade where I've used many different cleaning products. It really needs a professional clean. Whore time: _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website
