PostSubject: The Power of Dreams   Mon Feb 06, 2012 6:26 am

Some of you probably know by now, but I braved the worst weekend of weather this winter and bought my first RWD car. An S2000 had been my realistic dream car for the last four years and I'd promised myself I'd eventually get one. I toyed with the idea of an MX-5 for a while as a beginner roadster, but I'd then have had to sell it, and I hate selling cars.

So eventually, I found the perfect car. In my price range at 4500 and the perfect spec - a UKDM Formula Red AP1 Very Happy Even better it had the GT front lip, side spats and spoiler.

I went and collected it today, drove the 150 miles home with the roof down. Had a few little hoons, tried out the VTEC, resisted the temptation to go M5 chasing after one bombed past us. It drives beautifully, 70-110mph goes very, very quickly... It's perfect <3

Just need to sort the Rallye out and get rid of it now Sad

Now a few fairly poor photos, red doesn't seem to come out very well under the yellow lighting and the car is a bit dirty and dewey, making it look a bit matt in the photos. It's actually very shiny and vibrant 🆒

LOL, not yet, it seems quite forgiving, so far... Had one slight twitch changing lanes in the wet. Well not so much a twitch, but just could feel it not wanting to grip for a split second.

The legal plates in the boot have 'Redline at Nine' written on the bottom Laughing S11TLO will be going on it soon Smile

No turbo, not yet. I think if anything I'd supercharge, but not for at least a couple of years. Already more than quick enough!

Next year. Plan is to do the 3000 mile trip I mentioned in November, 'Ring, Alps, Monaco and more. I'm having a year off this year and doing Ireland (next week in a hire car) and Japan (July-ish by plane and train) instead.

WARNING....VTEC is addictive....your wallet will now be empty forever more as you yearn for more jungle juice to feel the buzz as it hits 5000rpm!!

Haha only joking, I love S2000's, perfect mix of looks, handling and power, very lucky boy!

Seriously, VTEC's are addictive though....
