Only messing, I know you are building this with a purpose!

What's the benefit of the head block combo you're going to use? Is the 2.0 head no good?

Lol. The 2.0 counterflow was poorly designed from factory, half of the reason they only got an extra 15bhp from an extra 400cc.

So what engine is the g60 head from? Has the setup you're doing been done before with bike carbs?

The head gasket's off a G60 which is a 1.8 Supercharged as it's the only gasket i could fine that almost matched the head and block, the head is off an engine the same as my current one (1.6 x-flow) the block is the standard in a 8v Mk3 GTi 2.0.

No one i've spoken to has seen it done... so yeah, could be a bag of wank Razz

Main jets drilled out to 1.5mm (mainly because it's the only drill bit I could find), and i can always go bigger if needs be...

Should be enough.

Now with new lows...

The observant amongst you will notice the exhausts now sits about 15mm off the ground... suppose i'll be re-rerouting that then.

Anyway, picking up the AGG block tomorrow, hopefully sorted a piper 285 cam and a rear disc conversion off an Ibiza too Smile

What will be awsome is if you cut out a section from passenger rear footwell & weld in a tunnel to sit exhaust in then it will be higher than the sill IMO. Laughing

So yeah... went to do a bit of engine stripping today, try to spin the 2.0 by hand and it's seized solid!!

So that's going back, but luckily there's a 2.0 Ibiza at Buckies we'll be salvaging Saturday!!
