Guys/Girls,

After much discussion, we've decided to move the forum from the current Forumotion server, to a more reliable and customisable server.

This is obviously going to take time, and we'll try and disrupt the running of the forum as little of possible.

It's going take just over a month to complete.

Some settings can't be transferred over!

• PMs - We can't transfer PMs as we can't access your accounts, so please save any important PMs elsewhere.
  
• Passwords - Just like PMs, we can't see your passwords (and they're stored encrypted). A new password will be generated on the new forum for you and we'll send you a PM here with what that password is. Of course you can always request a password reset on the new forum.
  
• Signatures - We are working on including signatures in the transfer but at the moment it's not possible.
  
• Unread posts - We can't transfer this. On the new forum, all posts will start off as being read.

How to prepare for the move - what you should do now

• PMs - If you get important PMs, make sure you save them off of the forum. Unfortunately, we'll never be able to transfer these.
  
• Email address - Please make sure you have a valid email address set in your profile! We'll use this to communicate with you if we need to and it'll also let you send a password reset on the "new" forum if you have to.

How will the move work?

• On the day of the move, the forum will be "locked" and the forums hidden. This is to stop any changes being made whilst we start the migration process. We will create a special forum that'll be open for you to use and where we can keep you updated with progress.
  
• Once the migration of topics and posts has completed and we've converted everything on to the new forum, we'll be sending you a PM on the "old" forum with your new passwords for the "new" forum. You'll always be able to access the old forum via this address: http://built4track.co.uk/
  
• We guestimate it'll take us 8 hours to complete the move. It may take more time on the day!
  
• It may take 24 hours for you to be able to see the new forum.

In the future, the new forum will include things like a vastly improved shop, which will allow you to pay for tickets and track days!!

You may also notice thread pages now have 50 posts, instead of 15, this just makes it easier to transfer!
