PostSubject: Audi s3 or s4   Fri Mar 25, 2011 11:16 pm

Right I own a BMW and I've had what seems like endless problems with it so might go part ex on either a s3 or s4 it'll be a couple of years older for my price range. Does anyone know what these cars are like or suggest a car.
Much love
Matt

What is your budget?

What year S3 and S4 are you looking at as there is quite a bit of difference between the years.

Got a budget of between 5-7k hopefully part ex the BMW as part of the deal cough up a bit of cash on top. For that price there seem to be around the year 2000 mark

So that would be the B5 S4, 2.7 bi-turbo V6 and the S3 will be a 1.8T with 210bhp IIRC.

For that money you could get a Leon Cupra R. I've recently got mine and love it.

It doesn't have the badge of the Audi's but it is better equipped.

Are you wanting a car with 4wd?

Depends what you want from the car I guess, from the looks of things I'm guessing you just want a bit of a cool cruiser with some poke?

Deffo some poke Chris the BMW is a lush car but just feels slow! Did have a look at cupra r's and a couple of 330i's too much choice Sad
4wd is not a major factor anything will do!

Are you worried my running costs? The S4 costs a lot to run and simple serivce parts can turn into a pain in the rear.

The S3 will be better but the 4wd does blunt it a bit.

But a mapped S4 2.7 biturbo would be an apsolute rocket!

I am worried by the cost of running one. I did imagine Audi are like BMW when it comes to fudging people over when it comes to spare parts! Arghhh might just get a skyline! Lol

Ha ha, it helps to have friends in the right places with the German cars.

An S3 wont cost the earth to run. It shares most parts with the mk4 Golf and Leon Cupra.

I would think about a supra but some bloke at work has just got one and he's a moron so I'm discounting that because of him! I will investigate cars today and nice ones I'll post on here for 'expert' opinion!
