What's better or different about & forge actuator over standard? The turbo I've bought has one fitted. Set at 1 bar. |

| Woohoo got my car back on Thursday! Now with a working turbo lol. Chosen not to drive it since thanks to all this bloody road salt but in my short journey home it felt as intimidating as ever Having not driven t for 3 months its a bit bit different to my jeep and slow ass sprinter with enough boring driving aids to make it idiot proof. Anyway old turbo... Compressor wheels all good Exhaust wheel, well that clearly made an exit through my exhaust and must still be at Donington because it aint here lol Snapped clean off. Not unknown to happen when you up the boost as the shaft is ceramic. New turbo is a hybrid from turbo dynamics and has a thicker steel shaft & larger 48mm compressor wheel. Which l belevie is 2mm larger than standard. Also has a forge actuator. Also added my Donington decal Really needed that clean after 3 months in the garage. Next step, book another day at Donington |

| Looks very clean Adam Fancy cleaning something that's silver? I've not cleaned mine for months. It's a disgrace. I'm sure Matt at Pug1Off said there's a really cheap day at Donny in April, through another car forum. I'll ask for the details again as I'd be interested in doing it. _________________ Dave-R | 106 Quiksilver |Progress blog Pug1Off C2 race engine | AT Power ITBs |196.3bhp |135.7lb.ft |8000rpm Visit My Website

| Well im still running the same boost at 1.15-2 bar which should be 290-300+ bhp. Guy l bought the turbo off was running 1.4 bar and 340bhp but that's risky on standard pistons & rings. Also l believe the standard ecu is only mapped to 1.24 bar. Certainly fuel cut is at 1.24.
So yeh it would give more power but l can't use it lol. Not at the moment anyway.
Piggy back ecu inc mapping can be done for 600 and forged pistons are 500. |

| So ive got the week off and went for a short drive. Got back and realised maybe l should re-fit my manifold/turbo heatshield. Underside of my charge cooler sits partly over the manifold and it was HOT. So gave it some paint Removed the x-brace and popped the chaarge cooler off the inlet & turbo so l could get the sheild bolts in. Shield fitted, actually does a good job of wrapping around the turbo lol. Certainly looks alot better painted up too |

| It's about a 3hr job l believe but l didn't do the swap myself in the end. Local mr2 garage only charged me £80 so not worth the hassles lol. Really wasn't expecting it to be that cheap.
I'd taken the heat shield off previously and the garage never had it to fit. |
