Shamelessly stolen from another forum!

Quote :
The following is the result of a couple of young guys in stock hatches treating a Silverstone test day as a race day. They both ran wide at Copse but continued to race each other off the circuit. As I understand it, one ended up in the tyre wall and the other through the gravel and back onto the circuit and into an MR2. Simon Topp can now lay claim to the most spectacular MR2 crash (previously held by Tim Cartledge with six revolution roll at Mallory) after flipping end-over-end three times and barrel rolling five times.

Photographs were taken by the driver who was largely unharmed - the only visible injury having because by his oversized wristwatch! The roof deformed around the roll cage and all of the safety equipment performed exceptionally well.

I know why he did it. Was that novice sticker, a proper driver would of handled the roll and kept going! Or have I been playing too many arcade racers?

Seriously though it shows how much they help in a crash, more so the serious ones like that!
Glad the bloke is unhurt and goes to show the benefits of getting a cage

I want to go find Simon and shake his hand for doing such a good job at it.

Yeah but if you take it out of your room Andrew what happens when your house rolls??

Andy Id be more worried about my new car so you'll probably have nothing to worry about. Either that or I will be going sideways in a fireball and end up worse than that Mr2
