PostSubject: mincer?   Tue Nov 02, 2010 4:03 am

On the friday before brands hatch, I decided to go and pick this up from Nottingham...

So i've had it over a week and been loving all the mincer jokes you guys have been suplying me with! Laughing Razz

Current spec is -

Rev 3 2.0 Turbo
73,000 miles/118,000KM
very good service history
Never had the boost played with...until I got it anyway Laughing
Optional extra Traction control which as far as I can see does nothing Laughing

mods so far are -

Departure cat back exhaust
Apexi Induction Kit
Recaro Seats sort of
Apexi Speed/rev counter with lap timer
Blitz Turbo Timer
SSR 16" Wheels wrapped in death tyres
Front and rear Strut Top Braces
Fidanza Lightened flywheel
Heavy Duty Clutch

Mods that I have in my possession -

Rev 3 Standard wheels which will be refurbished and powdercoated in gunmetal grey wrapped in proxies T1-Rs
Mongoose Exhaust

So yeah anyway only took me two years Embarassed

Jenny told me about this on the way home from Brands (but she couldn't remember what it was exactly!). And very nice it is too. Going to be good fun learning how to drive it as it's so totally different from the 106.

I assume it's going to be at Rockingham but not actually on track?

Ah, I thought I read something saying you had got an MR2 the other day. Makes sense now.

I thought the plan was to have matching S2000s next though? I don't really want one of these Razz

Worse than a 106's lights? That's really worrying... Saying that though, the S2 Rallye's are far better than I remember my brother's S1 being!

James the GTI's lamps were awesome specially on full beam with the spot lights, imagine a torch when the batteries are going and thats the comparison to the MR2 Laughing

You should try the lude lights in the dark then, not candles but more like tea lights! Although for the reliability of jap cars they had to make a bad point somwhere, so I can deal with bad headlights!

Maybe you need to review how you treat you poor little cars Razz

Woz, for the GTO, they do an aftermarket headlight reflector (hella's from memory) that make no end of difference on the pop ups. Can only assume they do the same for mr2's?

urm are you trying to say a French/euro car for the same price you paid would be any better?

Dropped valve = Smashed Head on the City

the city was designed by small Japanese people for even smaller Japanese people and not for giant 6 ft plus people on track Very Happy

No Oil = Seized Bottom End Del Sol

driver/owner error it had no oil?

Jap cars = awesome when time and money spent on them! Wink

think i'll have a search around for these, my other option was to get a HIDs conversion.

Headlights don't work when you're sideways anyway so it doesn't really matter!
