PostSubject: Help me find a hairdresser's car...   Wed Oct 13, 2010 6:10 am

Made the decision - GTi is definately going, taking some up to date pics tomorrow and writing a complete up to date ad for it.

However, I need to find an MX...

Criteria -
Can NOT be green or purple. Prefer white, red or black, but open to any others.
Can NOT have the tan interior - bleurgh
Preferably a 1.8, will settle for a 1.6 if it's mint enough and cheap enough (i.e I'm not spending over a grand on a 1.6, cos it'd need boost asap!)
Moar MOT and Tax the better, obviously
Suspension mods and/or a hardtop would be nice but not neccessary.
Anything above that, by some miracle for this money, would be epic.

NEEDS to be a UK Model... Eunos is 500 more to insure Sad although I'm going to run some quotes by Flux etc on Thursday to see if they'd be any better on that.

Budget is 2k MAX.

Oh, and needs to be fairly local after the 106 search... not going to Peterborough for another H/G failure again Sad

Urrm so you don't want to look for a Eunos model as insurance is too much but want to turbo a UK car? Surely that will be more expensive? Very Happy

Completely depends on the spec of the build. Prefer not to disclose actual figures, but the fairly basic setup I plan on running at first is pretty reasonable - less than the difference of insuring an import Razz
