the VTi is group 16, the ESi is group 14. most insurers list them as a CRX rather than a Del Sol

Esi is the one to get, the roof on the VTi adds uber weight.

Don't forget an import will be more to insure than a UK.

And for some reason they are pagued with rust more than most hondas.

I saw a pickup conversion done on one one... looked LUSH!!!

Just had a look for crx del sol's and:

1.6 esi (123bhp) group 14
1.6 vti (160bhp) group 16

And 106 gti is group 13

Electric transtop versions were an option on the vti models so won't effect weight on all of them.

Great little cars for the money. Won't get many stock 1.6's doing a book sub 8 second 0-60 with 160 bhp. Nice aggressive vtec that is very addictive and lovely sounding! Nice little 2 seater with a bit of style with the right taste from my experience. Best bit is it's Jap and generally very reliable as it's built to do 8k rpm from factory! Can also fit the h22 vtec engine in with little problem. Imagine 220bhp with good torque levels in one of these Wink

I don't know why but I have images of you trying to get an H series in your girls' buggy Razz

cams, induction, b18 head will get about the same. Spoon ECU for 9k RPM and 4.5k RPM VTEC

then bank loan, AEM, forged pistons, rods, lined B20 block, BOOST. 450hp in a hairdresser mobile.

Dammit...you've ruined my suprise! Going to have to take the H22 out the buggy and think of something better!! Wink

Got to admit as much as I love them I wouldn't have one personally (unless it had some serious conversion...one I don't think I'd be very comfortable and two they are a little more female orientated than my liking but as your sis is a female James think it would be something different/good in the club!
