Last year Jenny got me an experience day and I finally got around to booking it.

Started off with a few passenger laps in this:



And then my weapon of choice arrived:







Ferrari, Lambo, Aston etc didn't interest me. The only other car I was tempted by was the Lotus, which was bloody quick when the instructors were taking it out.

The instructor I had was a guy called Tony Lynch. It turns out he's the British stockhatch rallycross champion. He was driving 205s and 106s up until recently. Now drives a Suzuki Swift Sport. So had a good chat with him and he gave me loads of advice. Really nice guy. The next round will be live on Sky next weekend. Should have given him a B4T spotted card

Now want boost. What an amazing bit of kit. Handling was spot on. Power was endless. Brakes smelt good And when the turbo sneezes, it makes love to your ears.

The 106 is a fantastic car to learn in and I'll be keeping it for a little while yet until I get some more open pit days under my belt but owning an Evo 8 track toy is now on the list. Apparently I have to buy a house first though? Bah!

you can't track a house, trust me. Get the evo first.

The guy down the road has just taken me out in his Lancia Delta HF Turbo Integrale... think I want that more than the Evo. What a car!
